PoR ch. 27: Moment of Fate

The castle scene before Ike battles the Black Knight. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've attempted this chapter, because I lost count.

Actually, I did complete it first time around, but Ike had to retreat during his duel because, well, I would have killed him off. And then I just felt pathetic. But I pretty much have a system now to get around the castle. Ike & Soren up the stairs; Zihark, Muarim, Titania to the left; Oscar, Boyd, Rolf, Shinon to the right. Mist & Volke hang out in the back for healing and stealing. haha

Why yes, I can recite my formation without looking at the screen. Perhaps it's time to get past this chapter.

Admittedly, Ike & Mist aren't leveled up nearly as much as they should be to successfully do this (without me biting my nails). Actually, I never use Mist so she's only a level 4 cleric... which means she has to retreat rather early during the Black Knight battle. But I've equipped Ike with a bunch of elixers so there may be hope.

BUT IT'S DONE. I can hardly believe it. Ike activated aether twice and he basically had it. Of course, the fact that the Black Knight missed twice of the three times he swung certainly helped as well.

That's right, after all this time, it's done in three moves. Mist never even left. That totally makes it worth it.

Now I have to wonder... has he really been defeated? Or will he magically reappear in Radiant Dawn? I can't see how that story line would work without him...

Way to go Ike, level 14 lord.
